About Us

Exploring self. Creating change.

Trilogy Counseling was initially started in 2014 as Eclectic Dragonfly Therapy Services in Princeton, MN.
The name was changed to Trilogy Counseling Services after some organizational shifts occurred in 2018.
The name Trilogy represents the concept that we must explore all of our parts of self in order to seek
balance, change and create harmony with mind, body and spirit.

Trilogy Counseling was started to provide quality care, based on what people need to obtain optimal mental wellness.
We have experience working in a variety of settings, therefore feel we can offer services that can actually be helpful.
We aim to focus on providing support in rural areas where support for mental wellness is sparse.
Trilogy currently has offices in Princeton, MN; Elk River, MN; St. Francis, MN. We also offer Counseling online.

We are experienced professionals who work with
Children, Teens, Adults, Couples & Families,
offering specialized services in the following areas:

LPC/LPCC Supervision

LPC/LPCC Supervision

Finding a quality Counseling Supervisor that you can connect with is important. Jacqueline Kelly-Faddler is approved by the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy in Minnesota to supervise those wishing to provide Counseling services and seeking LPC/LPCC licensure. She enjoys offering insight, feedback, and encouragement to others who are going into this meaningful profession. Jacqueline has been told that her variety of personal and professional experiences  flavors her supervision style, which can make for a unique and beneficial supervision experience. Also offered in supervision is genuineness, honesty and a supportive relationship which can prove helpful as people work through the process of becoming a Therapist. A Supervisor in the state of Minnesota must complete additional training approved by the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. Along with training, a Supervisor must have been practicing counseling for a specified number of years so they may offer expertise based on experience to those they mentor before they are approved to supervise.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy

A Play Therapist is someone who has completed schooling and specific training around play to help others work through issues and better understand themselves. They have also completed several hours of supervision with someone who is experienced in using play with clients in the Counseling setting. While Therapists may us play or art in therapy, they are not a true Play Therapist without the above criteria being met. Play and Expressive Therapy offers people alternative ways to communicate and process through concerns. Many of the Trilogy Counselors use play or art as a medium when working with clients as appropriate. We find this offers a richer therapy experience and opportunity to delve deeper into concerns brought to session.

Couples & Family Counseling

Couples & Family Counseling

A Therapist who provides Marriage or Family Counseling should have completed schooling and/or specified training in these areas. Therapists at Trilogy Counseling, who provide these services, explore the family system and how it relates to those involved. The “client” in this type of counseling is the relationship. The Therapist may help all involved figure out what role they may fill in the family system and assists the family/couple in interrupting unhealthy relational or communication patterns.

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling

Counseling offers a safe, supportive space for those who need to work through mental health concerns or life stresses to feel heard and accepted. People use this space a number of ways for a number of reasons. Counseling can vary in benefit. A Therapist or Counselor is present with the identified client for this process. This person has completed training and schooling around Counseling. They become licensed when they have completed a certain amount of supervised hours and pass exams with the board they are seeking licensure from, along with the required schooling for that particular license.

EMDR

EMDR

Trilogy Counseling offers EMDR Therapy at our Princeton and St. Francis locations. An EMDR Therapist is a Counselor who has completed approved training so they may competently offer this technique with clients they work with. EMDR can be used for many mental health issues, including trauma. EMDR is the use of repeated "bilateral stimulation" to help clients change the way they think about or react to certain "stuck" or upsetting issues. This helps them to move forward and create a healthier understanding of what they experienced so it no longer impacts their life negatively.

Online Therapy

Online Therapy

These are services offered online through a secure video chat, via email, or on the telephone. Trilogy Providers ask that we both meet from confidential locations and that there are limited to no distractions. This can be a super helpful way to receive therapy if it is difficult to get to an office location for whatever reason. This can also be super helpful as your Therapist can see what it's like to be at your home, work, or other area you choose to meet from. You can share your space and what you experience from these environments. Some people find this to be more comfortable than coming into the office for services. All Trilogy Counselors have experience and training in how to support others using Telehealth services.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The Counselors at Trilogy Counseling help those we support to change unhealthy ways of thinking. We find that with use of CBT, we can shift emotions, feelings and actions by assisting our clients with altering the way they think about things. By changing all of these areas clients have expressed feeling better about how they interact with others and the world.

TF-CBT

Trauma Focused CBT Counselors at Trilogy Counseling have completed specified training in this area. They work with their clients to explore their life narratives, distressful experiences and change negative thought patterns. They may utilize the relationship with the client or others close with the client to make change, also incorporating other humanistic-type therapy modalities.

Trauma-Focused Therapy

Trauma-Focused Therapy

Trilogy providers tend to view each issue presented in our sessions through a trauma-focused lens. This means we consider how any types of traumas experienced by those we work with may be contributing to concerns brought to our meetings. This may also include consideration of childhood hurts or attachment issues. We hold these experiences as we work together towards change with those we support.
