Mari Heincy MS, CRC, LPCC

Hi I’m Mari (she/her)

I am a cisgender, Asian-American woman who is passionate in social justice and mental health activism. I have experienced the many complexities and intersectionality of multicultural and societal pressures in the Midwest which have driven me to be in the field I’m in. My own experiences have allowed me to create authentic and understanding relationships with the clients I work with. Many of my clients tend to be BIPOC, however I work with clients of all backgrounds.

I received my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Addictions Counseling from St. Cloud State University and have lived in Minnesota for over 10 years. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Minnesota. Much of my therapeutic approach is based in AIR-Network, Attachment, CBT, Feminist, Multicultural, and Person-Centered modalities. My goal is always to create a safe space where clients feel comfortable to open up, connect, and grow.

Please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit!

Some of the areas I have experience and training in are:
ADHD, Adjustment/Life Transitions, Anxiety, Career Counseling, Codependency, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Chemical Dependency, Depression, Divorce, Emotional Disturbance, Family Conflict, Grief/Loss, Identity, Marital/Premarital, Multicultural/Racial Identity, Peer Relationships, Pregnancy/Postpartum, Self Esteem, Stress, Trauma/PTSD, Women’s Issues.
